Mizuno are a high end running shoes used by many Olympian and professional athletes. They offer good support and stability, absorb the shock of up to 4 times the body weight impacting the ground. They have a shoe for everyu running style from under pronation, to neutral to over pronation and server over pronation. Apparently 87% of runner have an over pronating running style, therefore the majority of the Mizuno running shoes range cater for this style of runners.

Mizuno has learned through extensive research that there is a fundamental difference between the running styles of men and woman. They have tailored their range of Mizuno running shoes to suit these different running styles. A Woman’s pelvice is wider than a mans. This causes greater over pronation when their feet land. Due to the softer connective tissue and reduced muscle mass, the speed at which the ankle move inwards is increased.

Mizuno have made the soles more flexible with more pronounced flex grooves to overcome this. The outside of the heel has also been made more rounded. The result is a softer landing which slows the roll of the ankle.

As men are generally the heavier of the sexes, to protect their joints and to give maximum support, the shoe must be able to absorb the extra weight when pounding the streets. Mizuno have introduced a range of running shoes with a wider sole with increased absorption in the critical areas. The wider slightly flared sole also give a feeling of security with a larger landing area.
